Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Talkwise. They form a legally binding agreement between you and Robopioneer Inc. ("Robopioneer", "we", "us"), a company based in Toronto, ON, Canada, regarding your use of the Talkwise application and related services (collectively, "Talkwise").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Talkwise, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.

2. Description of Service

Talkwise provides AI-powered communication guidance to improve parent-teenager relationships. Our service includes:

• Personalized communication suggestions
• Interactive conversation guides
• Profile customization
• Regular feature updates and improvements

3. User Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and use a verified personal Gmail account through Google and Firebase to access Talkwise. No email/password or non-Google sign-in method is supported. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us of any unauthorized use

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Share inappropriate or harmful content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts

5. Subscription and Payments

Premium features require a paid subscription. Payment terms:

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• Web and direct-distribution subscriptions are managed through Stripe; Play-distributed Android subscriptions are managed through Google Play
• Billing, invoices, payment-method changes, and cancellation are handled by the provider shown at checkout
• Refunds follow the applicable provider policy except where a refund is required by law

6. Intellectual Property

Talkwise and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

Talkwise is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of our service.

8. Data Retention

Talkwise stores personalization and conversation history locally in each browser or app installation, not in the server-side account profile. Local conversations are automatically purged after 30 days and are storage-bounded. Requests temporarily transmit the messages and relevant personalization context needed to generate an AI response.

9. Account Deletion

You may clear the current device's local Talkwise data or delete your account from Settings. Local data on another device must be cleared on that device. Account deletion removes the server-side Talkwise account; Stripe, Google Play, security, and compliance records may be retained where legally required.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating this page and, where appropriate, through in-app notices or email.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, or their subject matter or formation, are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that any such disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
